FAA Releases Runway Safety Best Practices Notice

Earlier this year, during the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Fly-In at California’s Camarillo Airport on April 29, 2017 attendees had an opportunity to participate in a “Runway Safety Roundup” presentation.

The event was hosted collaboratively by FAA Runway Safety, FAASTeam, Air Traffic and AOPA. During the event ideas and best practices on how to avoid runway incursions were presented and discussed. After the event all of these ideas were compiled and released in a document titled, “Runway Safety Pilot Best Practices” and announced via FAA Notice NOTC7456. Take a look at the document below or to see the official document from FAAsafety.gov.

Please take a look through this document and consider sharing this information with your fellow pilots. Thank you for your commitment to runway safety!Runway Safety Best Practices Runway Safety Best Practices Runway Safety Best Practices
