According to it’s Facebook page, European Coastal Airlines has added a second Italian connection.
European Coastal Airlines announced this just weeks after adding the first scheduled international seaplane connection in modern European aviation history. The successful Croatian seaplane operator has added Pescara to its network of connections.
Following on from the initial connection with Ancona from downtown Split and Rijeka Airport, Pescara Airport will be connected to downtown Split, with the inaugural flight scheduled for February 2. The flight will last just 59 minutes and promotional fares start at 29 Euros.
Since starting operations in August 2014 with a flight from Resnik near Split Airport to Jelsa on Hvar, the seaplane operator has gradually expanded its network, slashing travel times along the coast and islands, and enabling tourists to enjoy a true island hopping experience.
With plans to expand to more destinations, ECA currently flies from Split downtown, Resnik (Split Airport), Zadar Airport, Rijeka Airport, Pula, Jelsa on Hvar, Lastovo, Vela Luka on Korcula, Mali Losinj and Rab, as well as Italian destinations Ancona and Pescara.
