Pacific Seaplanes carried out their inaugural flight from Metro Vancouver into Port Alberni today. Welcomed on arrival at 11:35 AM by the Port Alberni Port Authority and City of Port Alberni officials, the light rain did not dampen the excitement of the first arrival of a scheduled seaplane service in over 25 years. Pictured are Randy Hanna, President Pacific Seaplanes and David A. McCormick, Director, Public Relations & Business Development at the Port Alberni Port Authority.
The company plans to add larger seating capacity twin engine seaplanes to the route once spring passenger traffic ramps up and is also working on expansion of its training program. Visit Pacific Seaplanes for more information and stay tuned for a feature article about this company.
