Floatplane Crashes In Naples, Maine Pond

A Cessna floatplane has crashed in Naples, Maine this weekend, luckily there were no injuries. 

Sunday, July 16, 2017 a Cessna on floats crashed during an attempted landing into Brandy Pond in the Sebago Lakes Region at around 3:15 p.m. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said a Cessna plane sustained significant damage in the crash but the pilot, who swam away from the plane was not injured and was the only soul on board.

The crash was captured on video by Melise Frey and sent into WCSH6.

The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating the cause of the crash.
