Lübeck Airport In Germany Turned 100 Years Old This Weekend
Saturday was spent traveling to Lübeck to catch a glimpse of the party launched for the 100 year anniversary of the Lübeck airport. A impressive number of planes was there of which we would like to show you some of the nicest ones in the pictures below. The airport itself had spent the last several years dead and closed due to various Chinese investors and budget airlines jumping ship. Now under the ownership of highly controversial medical industry mogul Winfried Stöcker, there are plans for a new terminal and bringing the airport back to life. While we’ll all see how that’s going to work out the author enjoyed the smell of AVGAS, the sound of large radial engines and the views of seeing historical aircraft getting airtime.
