A Beautiful Blast From The Past – Margaritaville In Frenchville

Recently, one of our loyal readers in Maine bumped into an old newspaper from 2007. Quickly taking a cell-phone picture she sent the pic along with a short comment “MARGARITAVILLE IN FRENCHVILLE”. It took a while to confirm that N208JB is still registered to Stange Bird Inc. of West Palm Beach in Florida and hence very likely may still be in Jimmy Buffet’s collection of airplanes. But the picture from then was barely recognizable and very grainy.

Newspaper from 2007

This triggered a question for the original pictures and promptly, David Fernald, Airport Manager of Frenchville Airport (KFVE) in Maine and photographer back in 2007 went through old hard-drives and really located the much clearer and now enhanced original shots.

After enlarging and enhancing them a bit, we are now able to share them with you as a blast from the past.
