Special New Years Eve Picture From David Reid
New Years Eve is a special day everywhere as it marks the last day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. This is a time to celebrate the end of the year gone by and welcome what is in store in the New Year. Nobody is more excited to find out what 2018 will hold, than the team here at Seaplanemagazine.com!
David flies Twin Otters for Viking Air Ltd, including everything from production and engineering flight testing to training and international delivery. This photo was taken on the beach of Phantom Lake, which is located in the mountains Southwest of Squamish BC. We were on a training flight to get current with some takeoffs and landings in confined spaces. The airplane is SN 944, which is the 100th new plane Viking has built since 2010, adding to the 844 that were manufactured by DeHavilland.
With this picture, we wish all of our readers, friends, media partners, future guest editors and picture contributors a happy and prosperous 2018.
