2016 Grounded Hogs Dinner: Celebrating 100 Years of Seaplanes in Seattle – Seaplanemagazine.com

While many pilots are looking for basically any reason to fly to Washington and the Seattle area, the Grounded Hogs dinner on February 19th, 2016 and the Washington Aviation Association Northwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show that will occur the following two days.

The Grounded Hogs banquet is an annual event that Washington Seaplane Pilots Association (WSPA) hosts every year and member Bruce Hinds says “is quite an evening with great food.” The banquet will host Bill McCutcheon, a Museum of Flight Docent and Board Member as the nights special speaker, and will also have a raffle following McCutcheon’s speech.

The raffle is always a favorite at the Grounded Hogs banquet and Hinds says that “items in the past have included headsets from Dave Clark, Lightspeed, Safety gear, fishing rods and all kinds of things Seaplane related including some flight time and vacation packages at lodges in the Pacific Northwest.”
