Today’s excursion is a cool blast from the past, traveling from warm and cozy Florida to Alton Bay, NH. Brian Neidhardt who is well known for this aviation photography uploaded the footage to Youtube back in February 2013, where it has collected more than 4000 viewers. The 206 seen here belongs to Seaplanetours.net and is used for scenic tours as well as sightseeing flights over the Lake Winnepesaukee area.

Alton Bay Seaplane Base has long been known as a cool winter getaway for pilots. Remember to add this amazing location to your Winter and Summer destination list. Found on the NY sectional chart, the one and only seaplane base that is open in the winter, is located 2NM North of Alton Bay and listens to B18 on AirNav. Ice conditions are closely monitored, to keep it safe for everyone.
